Have you ever committed to something or promised to go somewhere and then wished you didn’t?
I am confident that happens to everyone at some point in their life. Maybe you made a promise to go somewhere with a colleague or to a friend’s house for dinner, and at the last minute, you are feeling too tired to go, and you wish you could change your plans. Maybe you even start looking for an excuse so you wouldn’t have to go.
Well the other day, that’s precisely what happened to me. I had committed to go somewhere, and when it came time to get ready to go, I was so exhausted and all I wanted to do is lay on the couch and watch my favorite show, NCIS. It had been a long day, and I was thinking to myself, “I wish I hadn’t committed to this! I wish there were some way I could get out of going.”
As I think about that moment, it has made me realize that sometimes we believe God is like us—that He makes a promise, but we aren’t sure He is going to show up. Well, let me encourage you today; God will never make a promise and not deliver! He will always show up!
God will never “get out of the mood,” or not perform because something else came up! He never withholds His provision because He loves you! Just because we are flaky at times does not mean that God is the same way. He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. He is a Father who is always faithful. He is a provider and is always true to His promises.
With the promises of God, there is love, grace, hope, and mercy to help you overcome every obstacle in life. Have the confidence that when you reach out to Him that He will always show up anytime, you call upon His great name. He is faithful from everlasting to everlasting, and His Word is forever established!

I’m smiling because God has a way of checking me when I disobey him. My friends don’t know me as one to disobey God. I’ve always been commended on my obedient spirit. Well, he is faithful and I’m hurting, but he will heal that too. I’m looking at all the Devil has stolen from me in the last few years and months and just told him again how much he as to pay back according to God’s word.
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. I’m struggling to be forgive those who are constantly using their power to rob my family, but God did give the widow justice against her enemies so I am hopeful too in Jesus name Amen
